In the ranking of regional business leaders (prepared for the fifth time by Puls Biznesu (daily newspaper)), Fabryka Farb i Lakierów Śnieżka S.A has won in its region and received the title of the Polish Economy Pillar 2008. Companies to receive the title are selected during a two-stage procedure. During the first stage Dun and Bradstreet, a business intelligence provider, prepares a list of nominated companies from each province on the basis of economic indicators. The subsequent stage involves casting votes by inhabitants of a region for their selected company. The combination of experts’ evaluation and votes cast by inhabitants facilitates the selection of enterprises that (just like FFiL Śnieżka S.A.) operate in a fair and transparent manner, achieve exquisite financial results and at the same time show social sensitivity by reacting to the needs of local residents. In the ranking prepared by Puls Biznesu, Śnieżka has confirmed its position as a local leader. The high regional status also translates into the company’s position in other competitions and rankings in which development attitude and the considerable market position of an enterprise are subject to evaluation.
